NSV Flare

I know I promised you guys via my instagram, to post more but life has been going full speed. And I am not complaining about it at all, you know what they say 'I can't cry about having a lot on my plate when my goal was to eat'. Here, we are in the third month of the year, and I am feeling really good about 2017 so far.

If you follow me on social media, mostly my instagram and snapchat, then you guys know that I've been on a rollercoaster ride with my weight; especially the turmoil I was going through when I hit my highest weight last year. In stripping this facade down, I can admit to you guys that when I weighed myself and actually seen the number on the scale, I broke down and cried like a baby. Why? because although I was always bigger than most, never did I think I would get that big and ever weighed that much. Which brings me to these amazing pants, which after losing 40 pounds, is my most recent non scale victory.

I purchased these pants a few years ago from Karmaloop, when they were having a wicked sale. Even though I was not sure about the sizing when I purchased, I could not pass it up because a good pair of flare pants is hard to find. I mean you have to take in consideration the right inseam length, is it highwaisted enough, does it have enough flare, just so much to consider. So when these bad boys came in the mail and fit like a dream, I felt like I hit the jackpot. Unfortunately, when fall was in full swing and I finally had a chance to pull them out they could not fit. I am not talking about, oh they are up and keep falling down fit, I mean they couldn't even go over my thighs fit. To say I was heartbroken would be an understatement. But a couple of weeks ago, when I was going out for the night with my mom, I pulled these out on a whim and felt like crying when they pulled all the way up and stayed up.

Ain't nothing like being able to fit in old clothes. Got me feeling myself a little more than usual, but that's ok, there is enough self confidence out here for everyone. One of my favorite ways to wear flare leg pants or bellbottoms is to pair them with a band tee and moto jacket. The most fail proof outfit, ever.
